This year has been hard very very hard, i have pushed myself harder again with some great results but caused a few issues, the faster i got the more problems i have been facing, the start of the year i was trying to get used to 2 bikes with the intention of focusing mainly on my Supertwin but gaining time when i can on my golden era SuperSport, the opening round was with NGRRC at Oulton park to have a good run out on two new bikes again, both bikes had issues which was great having the run out before the main races i wanted to focus on, being Road Races not Track, which lead into my first Olivers Mount, i know full well i wouldn't qualify on both bikes so focused on the Supertwin, so glad i did, after trying to sort the bike out from Oulton Park, i came across more problems, my front brake was not working properly, gears wasn't engaging and worst bit i was coated in fuel, we tried to sort with little joy, but i got quicker,
After taking the bike to my main Sponsor Clevedon Motorcycles to check the engine, found out the clutch had eaten itself so new one on order and changed a lot on the bike, it was better, i spent the rest of the season obtaining positions i never thought i would at the level i'm racing at, i qualified in feature races, even at the Barry Sheen finished in the races within the points of a national road race, i only set myself the goal of being able to only obtain 1 point and i thought that would be pushing it, but my finish positions smashed my target, while in the Tonfanau Championship i was crossing the line in podium positions, finishing 2nd in championship.
but as i was getting quicker and heavier on the brakes, i started to smash my radiator causing me to have the buy a few to keep racing, the last time it happened was the last race at tonfanau where i crossed the line just under a second behind the championship winner, who i have never seen that close in a race before, but i killed my radiator to find out at the last Olivers Mount that it actually killed my engine forcing me to forfeit the last race meeting, but i used this to enjoy watching the races and what a weekend,
in the mean time, since the last race i have been extremely stressed behind the scenes, i have been given an opportunity to buy the motorcycle school i work for, which has been on of my dreams, i'm hoping to get this school working to be able to create a side part which i will build and adapt bikes for people in physical conditions to try biking and if the enjoy it be able to take them through there licence if they want to, to gain the freedom of riding on two wheels, which has gave me the therapy i needed to get away from the very dark places i fall into and know others do,
while speaking of help i know i keep saying it but i honestly mean it from the bottom of my heart, every single person who has liked, shared and commented on my post thank you,
